The picnic held at Seaside yester
day by the Presbyterian Sunday school
of thl city wa quite a success. A
large crowd was in attendance,' and
a happy time was had, especially by
the children who attended. The sev
eral hundred merry-makers went down
and returned on the regular trains,
several extra coaches having been put
on to accommodate them.
One of the largest single catches
that has been reported her for some
time wo brought In Wednesday morn
ing by Charley Slgfiidsen. He fishes
for the Union Fishermen's Packing
Company, and when hi catch was
weighed, It was found to be 4500
pounds. This haul was the subject of
much comment among the fishermen
and other folk, and Charley received
many congratulation from his friends.
