At the annual meeting of the Cham ber of Commerce, on January 13, a banquet such as was given by the Push Club a few nights ago will be arranged for the entertainment of members and their friends. The chamber met last evening, when President Van jDusen advocated the idea. He said he thought a banquet would have a tendency to bring Astorians closer together, and that the chamber should arrange for frequent entertainments of the kind. There was some difference- of opinion as to whether the banquet should be formal or Informal, but an Informal affair was finally decided upon. In discussing th ai!viabilty of hold ing banquets. Judge Taylor referred to the reo-nt Push Oub banquet.
