MONTREAL, Sept. 19. As a sympa
thetic tribute to the memory of Presi-
len: McKinley the Duke and Duchess of
Cornwall and York refrained today from
participa'ing in public functlonj and
limited their movements to a round of
visits to religious, charitable and educa
tional institutions Including the McGill
University, where each received the
honorary degree of doctor of law.
Large crowds assembled on the street
to greet and cheer them when they
appeare.l, but the general public was
exemded from the institutions which
they visited.

F. H. Paramore, of 3843 Indiana avenue,
suddenly drew a revolver and fired a
bullet into his own brain. He died while
being taken to the hoapltat. Paramore
was formerly a deputy United 8tat
marshal.
