bearing the remains of President Mc
Kluley reached Altoona at .1:40 o'clock
this mciiilng. A crowd of 3000 persons
were assembled :it the station to see the
train go through. The Altoona City
hand rendered: "Nearer My "iod to
Thee." and "Onward Christian Soldier,"
while the train was 1" the station yird
Police and railroad otlieials kept the
station clear of people. T.ie train left
here at o:.a after a change of engines
and crews.
The two engines which are to hiul the
heavy train over the Allegheny incun

KANSAS CITY. Sept. 18,-Delegates
representing seven political parties of
reform, who came here to the "allied
third party emference." held their ses
sion tonight. It was directed that the
new party Is to be called the Allied
party.
The purpose of the Joint session waa
to decide upon the time and place to
hold the convention, which will meet
to ratify the actions of this conference
and perfect permanent organization of
the new party. The piatform was ac
cepted by rhe different elements and
' utilities: declares against land specu-
lation and alien ownership; favors "Scl
i entitle money," based upon the entire
I wealth of the nation and not redeem
Pa. j able in any specific comodity, but to
be full legal tender for all debts, to
be issued by the government only with
out the Intervention of banks, in suffi
cient quantities to meet the requlre-
ments of commerce; demands Just and
na:ural taxation and election of the
I president, vice-president, federal Judgeo
ani senators by a direct vote of the
people; favors the creation of the de
partment of labor and equitable arbi
tration; favors the establishment of pos
tal savings banks .and favors such
constitutional amendments as may be
necessary to make the above laws.
The conference this morning selected
Joe A. Parker, of Louisville, J. H. Cook,
of Carthage, Mo., and Dr. J. E. Cham
bers, of St. Louis, as a national execu
tive committee. The national conven
tion will be held in Louisville, Ky., April
2. 1902. The conference adjourned, un
til 1:15 a. m.
