on Twelfth and Uond streets about
April 1st.
Mr. Harrison contemplate uclng in
connection with his shop an Improved
dry dck method for working on ves
sels below the water line, as on their
rudders, screws, etc. It consists of sub
merged tanks over which the end of
the boat Is moored, and which rise of
their own bouyancy when the water
Is pumped out of them, raising the hull
aulliclently to permit the work to be
done and at the same time providing a
platform upon which to work. This
method will effect a great saving of
time, because of independence of the
tide.
