She has aboard JCO marines for Guam and 100 sailors for the fleet at Manila besides 25 officers. There are also over a thousand tons of supplies for the fleet. She was ready to leave port last night, but delayed her depar ture on account of rough weather. WITH LOSS OF LIFE. PHILADELPHIA. Nov. 11. News has been received here that the Phill delphla schomer William M. Bird, from Charleston, S. C, to New London, Conn., was wricked in the October hur ricane oft Frying-pan shoals, N.C., and 10 of her crew. Including Captain Bar rett, perished. Two survivors, Gorge W. Loud, mate, and George Robinson, seamen, have been landed at Salisbury. Maryland. men in the Are roo.n were standing waist deep in w ater. She was b-uched at high tide and patched when the tide went out so that she was able to reach Juneau, where she Is undergoing repairs. THE CLEVELAND AT SEATTLE. SEATTLE. Nov. 11. The steamer Cleveland, the last vessel to leave Nome and St Michael for Seattle this season arrived In port tonight. She reports the steamer Alpha and Albion as the only other craft at either port.
