TO TII.E ASHLAND ItAND.
Up and down the Ashland canyon,
Fairest spot in all the land,
Comes the entrancing, mellow music
From the famous Ashland band.
Mingling with the rippling waters
And the fragrant mountain breeze,
Surging like the waves of ocean,
Through the green, responsive
trees,
Rising, falling, whispering, calling.
Through the' beauteous sylvan
scene,
Till in heart and mind we're dancing
With the fairies on the green,
Comes a flood of martial music
Thrilling, stirring, brave and fine
And we all go marching, marching,
With our soldiers to the line.
Hark! the old Star Spangled Ban
ner! And the crowd with doffed hats
stand,
While we all salute, our colors, '
Led by Ashland's famous band.
