They say lthat wonderful improve ments have been made here and that throughout the state the work of the inspectors and the publishing of their findings is working a wonderful im provement. As soon as the figures have been listed at Salem headquar ters they will be published in this paper. This is the first inspection in over a year and a great change in conditions has been made during that time, says Chief Inspector Duncan. The inspectors are very thorough, and to watch one of them at work Is to get many new ideas as to where dirt may be found. The inspectors say that a dirty place is much harder to inspect than a clean one, because if a place is unclean it is generally unclean throughout, while it is their duty to do their best to find traces of unsanitary conditions and' they must be very thorough with the cleanest places.
