Last Friday Professor Milam of
the East Side school was host at a
dinner given to the other teachers in
the institution. The dinner occurred
at Loomis' establishment, with' oys
ters as the principal item on the bill
of fare. The little event hospitably
marked the close of the first semes-IX
ter of school.

and Miss G. A. Thome. The prize, a
beautiful fern, was won by Mrs. Alex
Livingston. Refreshments were

E. F. Greenman of this city and
Mrs. Mabel L. Maas were united in
marriage Thursday at the E. E. Mil
ler home. Mrs. Maas is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Miller. Rev.
Douglass of the Methodist church of
ficiated at the ceremony. Only im
mediate relatives of the family were
present. Mrs. Maas has been in the
city for some time and is well known,
while Mr. Greenman has lived here
for some twelve years. They will
make their home at 1304 Qulncy
street.
