Republican Candidate FOR United States Senator Are you better off now than you were under a Republican administra tion? Are you satisfied? If you believe in the principles of the Republican party, if you are con vinced that these principles are best for the country, then prove It by voting for your standardhearer, Rob ert A. Booth, Republican candidate for the United States Senate. You know that under Republican presidents the people of the United States have good times. You know that under Democratic presidents you have Democratic times. Remember the prosperity under McKinley, Roosevelt and Taft. Remember conditions under Cleve land and Wilson. The Issue In this campaign Is not one of personality. It is not one of non-partisanship. It is a question of whether you prefer prosperity under Republican administration. . Do you have work enough? Are your wages good? Is your business what you want it to be? If you are satisfied with present conditions, well and good; if you be lieve that the present situation Is better than under McKinley, Roose velt and Taft, you know what to do. The way to bring back prosperity Is to help elect a Republican Senate. The Republican candidate in Oregon Is R. "A. Dooth. (Paid advertisement. R. A. Booth Campaign Committee, Morgan Bldg., Portland, Ore.) Looking Into Drying Process M. C. Bressler returned Sunday from Salem, where he has been inves tigating the new drying system. He brought back with him numerous samples of the product of the ma chine, and they certainly meet all ex pectations, leaving the fruit in the most desirable condition. He will keep these samples through the win ter, to see if they remain free from worms, and to make sure of their keeping qualities. If the fruit comes up to his expectations he will In all probability erect a dryer In the spring. Of course, this is understood to be merely a prospective undertak ing. He has not definitely settled where he wishes the plant to be, but will probably go out of the city limits where taxation is not so great His plant will handle every conceivable kind of fruit. The estimated cost will be about $15,000. City Will Look Auto Drivers to , Smooth Up Road Local automobile drivers have ar ranged for a three hours' rally Fri day morning from eight to eleven for the purpose of clearing the rocks from Farnum hill at the north edge of Ashland. All auto dilvers are urged to devote three hours to the cause. The tools needed are picks, shovels and garden rakes. The hill is reported In bad shape from loose rocks and others partly buried. The promoters of the rally declare that a few hours' work wili put it in fine condition. As nothing will be done with this hill by the county this win ter the rally is a good idea. Every auto driver should lend his assistance. Others who are willing to help will be welcome. ReYnember the time eight to eleven Friday morning. For particulars see F. B. Tracy at the Western Union Telegraph office or A. W. Freeburg. Olof Lidstrom of the Park Garage went quail hunting Wednesday and had the good fortune to shoot a coy ote.
