Frank Harvey, the author of numerous

ed “ Shall W e Forgive Her?” The story
is not very original, hut the treatm ent
is deft, dram atic and effective.
Lady Violet Greville’s adaptation of
‘Le Gendre de M. Porrier” under the
title of “ An Aristocratic A lliance,” is
poor stuff. In changing the characters
to English people the original sadly suf­
fers.
Alice Pierce, the rem arkable child
actress, was not perm itted to appear in
the title role of “ H annele,” the vision
play which the Rosenfeld brothers pro­
duced at the F ifth Avenue theater, New
York.
