Copies of records of the probate court of Salt Lake City have been exhibited to the Committee, showing this one court has, during the past three years, granted over 500 di vorces, and that in several instances decrees were entered granting divorces on the same day that application was made. The supreme courts of Indiana, Illinois, New York and Massachusetts have already declared these probate court divorces to be illegal.
