tion of Oho city council of the city of
Toledo, Oregon, to cause to be con
structed a Slide walk on tlhe Wcet side
of Hill Street beginning at the Noiiih
filde of he mtarsectton of Fifth Street
wtth Hill Street and extolling on the
West side of Hltl Street to a point
Fifty Feet North of the Intersection of
the North Side of Sixth Street with the
West side of Hill Street and directing
the igiving of notice thereof.
Be It resolvod by the Common Coun
cil of the Oity of Toledo, Oregon, that
it la necessary and expedionit that a
side walk be constructed in said cly
on the weat eldo of Hill Street begin
ning at the North side ofl the inter
section of Fifth Stieet with Hill Street
mnd extending on tho West sldo of Hill
Street to a point fifty feot North of tho
intersection of the North side of Sixth
Street with the West side of Hill 6trect
and to be constructed as follows: saiid
sidewalk shall be constructed of sound
wood p'jj-nk, .two Inches tnick, laid
cross wiso, upon stringers running
lengthwise, on sol'd foundation, 4 In
number, said stringers to bo at least
two inches thick and six inches wide,
set edgeways, th decking to be eight
inches wide and to bo laid not further
apart than one-half inch, and said walk
to be 8 feet in width, and to bo lcld to
conform to the grade and elevation of
said street.
The cost of the side walk heroin pro
vided for shall be paid by the owners
of the abutting property and such work
shall be done and tho materials fur
nished ait the expense of the adjacent
property.
The City Recorder Is hereby directed
to give notice for a period of ten days
in the Lincoln County Leader, a news
paper published in the City of Toledo,
Oregon, oil the Intention of the Oity
Council to cause to be constructed said
e'jfle walk which notico shall be to the
public in general and to) the owners
of the adjacent property and shall
specify with convenient certainty the
street, or part thereof, or Bide iwolk,
or cross walk, proposed to be improv
ed, and shall describe the kind of im
provement proposed to be made, giv
ing a description of materials to be
used, and the doite of '.'he first and tho
'last publications of said notice.
