The fishing schooner Nenamosha, of
; the Burge Fish company's fleet, has
I been ordered to the yards of the Ma
rine Repair & Construction company,
at tho foot of Alblna avenue, to have
her hull lenirthened to 60 feet The
Nenamosha has been halibut fishing
off Newport banks for the past sev
eral seasons. Yard Superintendent
Sandstone has a force of men cutting
1 the boat in half, preparatory to In-
serting the additional keel timber.
The boat Is a good example ot sea
soned Douglas fir, according to Mr.
Sandstone. "This boat was built about
' 12 years ago,' said the superintend
ent, "and when we cut into her tim
bers we found them sound, with no
evidence ot rot anywhere. It speaks
well for Oregon timber."
