Prom the earliest stages of the
disease, emanclation gradually
increases until death. The ab
domen is tensely constricted and
the animal walks with great dif
ficulty. The mucous membranes, such
as
lips and eyelids, become
bloodless and anemic. In some
instances rose spots appear upon
the abdomen and Inside the legs,
being quite noticeable on whit
haired dogs.
A dog that has been well sal
moned and recovered from the
disease, is immunized against
subsequent attacks. This has
been confirmed by many owners
of dogs, that if a salmoned dog
recovers from a severe attack i
of the disease, it never occurs I
