We might ask. ir the laws are Doing vioiateu and graft committed with the county funds, why does not our County Attorney get busy and prosecute? Is he not the editor !of the Sentinel, and In posses- sion of the proper knowledge? Is it not his sworn duty to up hold the law and prevent graft? Why print this tommyrot in his ! I paper. when he could punish in ; the Courts? Then to cap the climax the 1 1 Sentinel came out last week Uvlth a lying article regarding ur present county officials. We Signal says regarding same: "A Midnight Attack "The Lincoln County Senti nel,' 'Official mouthpiece -Jw County Attorney Stewart, came off the press at midnight Friday last containing a vicious attack on the present county officials who were seeking re-election. The official "court juggler" evi dently thought he hit upon a bright idea in having his sheet issued at midnight so there would be no possibility of a comeback before election. He knew there was a slim chance of any other county paper answ ering his dirty flings and that the officials so attacked would have little time to defend them selves before Nov. 3d. Accord ing to the Sentinel it is an awfi'l crime to ask to be re-elected to office; It is an awful thing to ask your friends to vote for you; it is an awful thing to bo a repub lican and hold office get out and give a democrat a chance If the county attorney had not tried to quote figures he might have "put over" his little ar ticle and made one or two voters 1. believe he was dishing up the t ! real "dope."
