The tew electric light plant was
working yesterday in a trvout.
Evervthing worked in good order
and the plant furnished the lights
for this city last evening and it
is expected to furnish lights for
Newport this evening.
Yesterday afternoon the little
three year old daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Buel diank a quantity of coal
oil which neurly caused her death.
Dr. 1 liar d was hastily summoned
and by quick work taveJ her life
and the little one is now getting
along nicely.
