Supplement to LINCOLN COUNTY LEADER Friday. Jan. 2. 1914 Thank You With this issue we are all started upon another year, and at this time we desire to thank our friends and patrons for their generous support, and especially our .many faithful correspondents who have so nicely covered the news of their respec tive localises, during the past year. Despite the reported money strin gencies in other sectiun3 we find that during this past year we have lost but few of our old subscribers and have added more new ones than in any similar period. While wc like to receive new subscriptions and have o ir list grow, still it is more gratifying to us to. have our old subscribers renew their sub scriptions as it shows us that they appreciate our efforts to give them a good "live newspaper." Our continued growth haJ not been stimulated by prizes or contests of any kind, neither have we mbtated facts with the idea of gaining sub scriptions. The Leader has a repu tation for fairness and it will be car earnest endeavor to Iwe up to this reputation at ail times. We thank you, and wish you a happy, prosperous New Year. r Saturdays are Warnoek& Hughes' "Economy Days." Saturdays are always "Economy Days" at Warnock & Hughes. Attorney C. E. All report a fine time and bad roads. Mrs. Mary Ilodgis ard Dtle csinuren are visiting her parents, ! Mr. and Mrs Frary, at Toledo. Our telephone man beems to have wc ke ud, or at least the lines are alive, with the excention of n fou , old phones tha t are out of order, j Those stealing ard cutting the , phone wire bed Lest take warning; I for such is a penitentiary offense. Our roads are getting bad in some places again, but the road in district 10, where it is wide enough and was dragged, is in fine shape. The SDlit log drasr is hevond a .doubt the best fur dirt roads if handled right. The road that is 18 or 20 feet wide and high in the .center is dry and the rock road on the Bear creek grade has cut I through and is almost as bad as ever, ihis road is only eight feet wide and gives only one wheel track. The money it cost to make the rock road would have built three times the amount of dirt road 18 feet wide, which could then be rocked to some advantage. A good dirt road in the nrnnor shape is the best until we get all our roads wide enough o do the rock work right. CONSTIPATION POISONS YOU.
