Keady of Portland was visiting among old chums in Toledo last Friday. He had been visiting with his son. William F., at waldport. Mr. Keady was one of the early pioneers of this county. He was and is yet one of the big men of , Oregon. He returned to Portland Saturday morning. - Col. Theodore Roosevelt, who was shot by a demented crank, John Schrenk,' at Milwaukie. Wisconsin, last Monday evening, is, according to latest, reports, resting easy with no pain and unless blood poison or lock jaw sets in by this evening his attending physicians say there is every hopes of his speedy recovery.
