Because the Newport boys got the skinning of their lives in the basket ball game, last Saturday evening, they are getting off that old gag about Toledo importing players from Corvallis and Indepen dence. Ibis is a very unjust as well as an unreasonable statement and one that no true sport would make. Ihere were no players on the Toledo team but Toledo boys. Why should Toledo import players when Newport hasn't a "lookin" even with the high school team? Newport has good material for a team, but the boys do not play team work, and show a lack of practice , Be tier practice up boys, instead of beefing because you were outclassed.
