Cook of Chitwood made proof on his homestead before County Clerk Howell last week. His witnesses were G. Dahl and James McDonald. Mrs. Zem Randall and children re turned to their home near Philomath Saturday morning, after a week's visit here with Mrs. Randalls ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Plank. Miss Ena Stout formerly of Ya auina but now residine at Portland. , passed down to her old home at v ' 1 1.1-.' -j t.. Yaquina last Friday evening. Miss Stout will teach school at Tidewater; this coming Summer, her term be ginning next Monday. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dean went to Corvallis Monday morning where they will reside that their daugh ter, Miss Minnie, may attend col lege. The latter went to Corvallis last Saturday to prepare for enter ing school Monday. The two sons will run the farm, a mile above town, this Summer. 10 lots and two houses, furnished, all in good shape for garden, rasp berry and loganberry bushes, four chicken houses and yards, and about 100 hens young and laying.
