Gardner of Rose Lodge have been in the citv several days this week. Sheriff Bert Geer went to Port land last Friday in response to a message advising him of the serious illness of his sister, Mrs. H. B. Dabney, wife of Dr. Dabney, the dentist formerly of this city. Mrs. Dabney was injured in a railroad wreck on the Goldendale branch of the North Bank railroad last Octo ber and had been gradually failing since and about a week before her death, which occured at noon Friday,-cerebro meningitis developed which caused her death. Burial was made in the family cemetery in the Waldo Hills Sunday, the 7th. Mrs. Dabney was the daughter of the late L. B. Geer and a cousin of T. T. Geer, ex-governor of Oregon. She was also a sister of Sheriff Geerof this county, and a cousin of Homer Davenport, the famous car toonist.
