To the Legal Voters of the city of Toledo: Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 31st day of July, A. D. 1911, a special election of the legal voters of the City of Toledo will be held commencing at 3 o'clock in the forenoon of said day, and continu ing until 7 o'clock in the after noon of said day. The polling place at which said election will be held is in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in said city. At said election there will be sub mitted to the lal voters of said city for their approval or rejection an act supplementary to the charter of said city, the ballot title of which is as follows: REFERRED TO THE PEOPLE BY THE COMMON COUNCIL AN ACT empowering the City of Toledo to purchase the waterworks of The To ledo Water and Electric Light Com pany at the price of Six Thousand Dollars and to issue bonds in pay ment thereof, to extend, improve and operate said waterworks and to ex ercise the right of eminent domain therein; re-enacting the charter amendment approved by the voters of said city at the election held therein October tenth, 1910, author izing said city to acquire and operate its municipal waterworks and issue bonds therefor; and ratifying all acts done under authority thereof." Gardner, Judge. George Hoeflein was authorized to order necessary material and employ necessary help for construction of bridge over Yaquina river near Mor rison station. C. C. McBride of Eddyille was appointed Justice of the Peace for Little Elk precinct upon his enter ing into bonds and taking oath of office as by law required. J.. S. Bones granted privlege of recting a warehouse on wagon road on Siletz river near Pikes camp. The building not to interfere with public travel. J. II. Sugg was authorized to re place any defective plank no the Butler bridge; and to put the wagon road from Toledo to Bay View in passable condition. O. E. McMillan was authorized to purchase necessary bridge irons and nails to be charged to expense of Lincoln county, for construction of bridge over McMillan creek, the bal ance of material and labor to be furnished by the people interested. The Stockholders of the Lincoln County Fair Association met at the City Hall last Tuesday evening and elected the following board of direc tors: O. Middlekauff, Yaquina; W. F. Keady, Waldport; John Veit, Eddyville; O. G. Dalaba, Elk City; A. L. McDonald, Chitwood; Warren Hall, Siletz; W. M. Berry, New port; J. F. Stewart, Joseph Swear ingen, E. J. Avery and C. B. Crosno, Toledo. Immediately after the stockholders meeting a directors meeting was held and the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: O. Middlekauff, President; J F. Stewart, 1st Vice President; John Veit, 2nd Vice President; C. B. Crosno, Secretary; R. E. Collins, Treasurer. While working in the Fir and Sprute Sawmill yesterday afternoon M. A. Nye got his foot caught in the blocks while hauling logs out of the water and came near losing the foot. As it is he will be laid up for some time. A. L. McDonald and family of Chitwood visited relatives in this city Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. McDonald was here to attend the meeting of the Fair association. John Veit of Eddyville was here attending the meeting of the Fair association Tuesday night. W. F. Keady of Waldport was at tending the meeting of the Fair as sociation last Tuesday evening.
