JIM WARNER DEAD.
Jim Warner, the aged Indian who
was shot last March at his home on
the Siletz river, died last Wednes
day morning of secondary hemorr
hage. Immediately after Warner's death
Dr. Clausius, the Agency physician,
held a post mortem examination and
pronounced death by the above i
cause.
It will be remembered that on
March 22nd Jim Warner and Loyal
Chandler went from Siletz down the
river to Warner's home. The two
had been drinking heavily and the
two probably quarreled and Chand
ler is said to h,ave shot Warner with
a revolver, the bullet striking the
Indian in the head but did not kill
him. Chandler was arrested and
brought to Toledo and later was
charged with assault with a danger
ous weapon. He was tried in Jus
tice Anderson's court and was fined
$20 and co.ts.
On Warner's death a coroner's in
quest was held, Coroner Carter re
turning from the scene last evening.
Chandler will undoubtedly be taken
with murder. The Coroner's Jury
rendered the following verdict:
We, the jury empaneled to rend
er a verdict in the case of James
Warner, deceased, find that deceased,
James Warner, died from cerebral
hemorrhage secondary in nature,
but due to the primary injury, said
injury caused from a gunshot wound
inflicted by a revolver in the hands
of Loyal Chandler, March 22, 1911.

A strong man is strong ail over. No man can be
strong who is suffering from weak stomach with its
consequent indigestion, or from some other disease
of the stomach and its associated organs, which im
pairs digestion and nutrition. For when the stomach
is weak or diseased there is a loss of the nutrition
contained in food, which is the source of all physical
strength. When a man "doesn't feel just right,"
when he doesn t sleep well, has an uncomfortable
feeling in the stomach after eating, is languid, nervous, irritable and despcnd
nt, be is losing the nutrition needed to make strength.
Such a man should use Dr. Pierce' a Golden Medical
Discovery. It cures diseases of the stomach and other
orians ot digestion and nutrition. It enriches the blood.
Invigorates the liver, strengthens the kidneys, nourishes
the nerves, and so CtVES HEALTH AND STRENGTH TO
THE WHOLE BODY.
