Passing of Aldtn Dickinson.
Aldcn Pickinyon died at lis'lumio
ciKht miles north of this city on the
lotlt day of this month. Deceased
had lie-en HufTciing for the past two I
years with kiuoiy and heart trouble !
and his death was not expected.-
lie leaves a wife and one son to
mourn his loss.
The relatives are grateful for the
public Hympnthy expressed at their
home and at tho funeral service,
which was held at the Episcopal
church in this city on Monday the
17th. The Masonic fraternity, of
which he was a member, assisted
in the last service.

Friday evening from a trip to Portland.
Frank Falcon returned TuesJay
evening from a week's visit in Port

J.F. Stewart returned Friday eve
ning from a short business visit to
Albany.
R. E. Collins, of the Lkaokh,
went to Portland Saturday morning,
A . T. Peterson was a Newport
visitor last Friday returing to Toledo
Saturday morning.
Iiewis Montgomery, the sawmill
man, was a passenger for Portland
Monday morning. He expects to
be gone a week.
Miss Ella Collett "returned Mon
day evening from Portland where
she has been visiting her mother
for the past month. '
Dr. North the Dentist will go to
Siletz Monday for a few flays' stay.
While there he will be prepared to
do all kinds of dental work;

the city Tuesday. Mr. Vadtr is
