A Bright future for
Lincoln County.
The people of this county have
at last woke up to the fact that we
have one of the best counties in the
6tate. All it took to convince them
was to look over the grand display
of the fair held here on the 7, 8
and 9th of this month. Although
there were but few localities that
tried to make a display, it was a
decided success.
When we look at our apples and
other fruits that was shown in our
exhibits and then consider the care
we have given to the raising of fruit
it is enough to convince us that we
have one of the greatest fruit coun
ties in the "West.
All there is for us to do is to make
use of our land, clear up the hills,
set them out to apples and "our
fortune is then made." We need
not be afraid of overdoing it. If
every foot of land in Lincoln county
was set in fruit it would be all the
better for us. The we could ship
by the train load or shipload and
the buyers would come to us instead
of us finding them. I expect to
see the time, and it will not be many
years, when we will send out fruit
by the shipload.
There will be a good many thous
and trees set out this Fall and next

Besides the fruit industry there
is nowhere in the whole west that
can produce any better or larger
vegetables than was exhibited at
our fair.
Besides this we have timber
enough to make our county famous.
