WHY COLDS ARE DANGEROUS.
Because you have contracted ordin
ary oolds and recovered from hem
without treatment of any kind, do not
for a moment imagine that colds are not
dangerous. Everyone knows that
phutimonia and chrouio catarrh have
their origin in a common cold. Con
mi mptioD is not caused by a cold but
the cold prepares the system for the re-
rtiption and development of the germs
that would not otherwise have found
lodgement. It is the same with all iu
factious diseases. Diplberia, scarlet
fever, measles and whoopitiir cough are
much more likely to becomi-HCied when
i tui i. ...
ne t-iiiiu iihh a com. ion will see
from this that more real danger, lurks
in a cold than in any other of the com
mon ailments. The easiest and quick
rl way to cure a cold is to lake Cljam
lierlain's Cough Remedy. The tunny
remarkable cures effected bv this pre
paration have made it. a staple article

south side of Alsea river, known as

very narrow and dangerous and so
reported to Supervisor Evens of road

where I crowded my team against
the solid bank as far as the hubs
would allow I found only twelve
inches of loose dirt outside the out

. As to the road I went over
it from Jack Earley's to Bain's
place. There is no road ' to st,)eak
of. I shall have to close it to travel
for I consider it dangerous. The
only way I sec out of it is to see if
the cont ract is solid then see that
the Court fills it or has it done, for
that kind of work discourages road
building in our district, also all
over the county. I am doing all I
can to get a good road to Waldport
but that kind of work is really a
drawback to us for the day is past
for making half pitch trails.
Respectfully,
(Signed) A. J. Oglesby.
