County High School.
The time draws' near.. when, we
shall have to decide for or against a
county high' school in Lincoln
county. l
We of Lincoln county need a
county high school as much as, 'or
perhaps more, than any other
county in Oregon. What reason is
there that we should not have one?
Theie seems to be no good one.
The people of Lincoln- county' are
further removed from higher edu
cational institutions' than most
others of Western Oregon. Those
counties which have county high
schools find them all that they ex
pected.. We need a high school
where parents of the county can
send their children at small cost,
and have the children' 'where they
can he seen frequently and looked
after. . "
Aiid you, the men of Lincoln
county, who are interested in ad
vertising ofir resources and attrac
tions and thereby inducing an in
flux of homeseekers, do you know
that 'good, adequate and convenient
schools are ambng the ' most power
ful of attractions?
In our humble opinion every pat
ron of education, every jiarent who
is interested in his childrens' wel
fare, every citiven who is interested
in the development ' of Lincoln
county, should give their earnest
support , toward . establishing a
County High School. . -"
