County Commissioners' Court was in
session Wednesday. The law provides
that the Court must hold this session
for the purpose of filling vacancies in
election boards, if any exist.

Dr. Carter Again Guilty.
For the second time within the
past year. Dr. Carter of Newport
has lecn arrested and plead guilty
of violating the local option law in
this county. For the second offense
he was sentenced in the Circuit

$350 with costs. In pronouncing
sentence- Judge Harris cautioned
the Doctor that if he ever appeared
in his court again on the same
offense he would give him the limit,
both fine and imprisonment.
It appears that booze selling in
Lincoln county comes pretty high
to some at least.
