committee was appointed to circu
late a petition asking the County
Court to have placed upon the bal-
lot at. the coming June election the
proposition as to whether the voters
of this county desire a county high
school. The following taken from
the' Oregon School Laws, section
220, says: "The county court, at
any general election to be held in
any county after the passage 0f
this act, upon the presentation of a
petition signed by one hundred or
more qualified electors, tax-payers
of said county, must submit the
question of establishing and main
taining a county high school to the
qualified electors thereof. The
ballots for such election shall con
tain the worxls, "For County. High
School Yes;" "For County High
School No; "and the voter shall
indicate his choice as provided in
the Australian ballot law."
