Pepin et al for extention of time ou the
construction of the Chitwood bridge.
Time extended 30 days.
In the matter of the bid of Lincoln
County Leader for publishing delin
quent tax list, and list of subscribers
filed. Bid accepted and the paper de
olared the official organ of the County
Court.
In the matter of the petition of A. J.
Oglesby for aid on the Alsea and Fall
Creek road. The Court accepts the pe
tition and appropriates a sum therefor
not to exceed $75, and A. J. Oelesby ap
pointed foreman of the work.
In the matter of the Newport and
Siletz wagon road. At this time came
on for consideration the above-named
matter, and it duly appearing to .the
Court that the early completion of said
road is desirable and essential to the
general welfare of and prosperity of a
large section of Lincoln county, and
will be a great factor In attracting im
migration to said portion of Lincoln
county, and adding to the taxable prop
erty of said county : The Court being
fully advised in the premises, it Is or
dered and deoreed by this Court sitting
as a board for the transaction of county
business, that of every dollar's worth of
work or money expended npon said
road by the people of Lincoln county,
Oregon, there is hereby appropriated
from the general road fund of said
county an equal amount of U. 8. money
to I e expended upon said road in its
completion; that a credit or 82 will be
given for every day's work performed
by a man laboring upon said road by
virtuo of this order, which amounts are
to be covered by the said appropriation
of said county herein, dollar for dollar:
that said appropriation for actual road
work shall not exceed 500; that J, G.
Plank is hereby appointed special road
supervisor to control all work upon
said road performed by virtue of this
order at a salary of $3 per day; that the
men working upon said roud by virtue
of this order shall furnish and supply
an and all food and provisions at their
own costs, and also all horse feed, or
cause the sarn to he furnished; that
said specitfl rood supervisor shall keep
a correct account of all work per
formed upon said road and make a re
port thereof to this Court and when
said report has been confirmed by this
Court, an order shall be made upon th
Couuty Clerk of said couuty to draw a
couuty warrant in favor of said special
road supervisor for the benefit of' said
road, which sum shall be expended nu
tter the same conditions and in the
same nauuer as said labor has been
performed in completing said aoad;
that said special road supervisor shall
not work less than 6 men upon said
road at any one time; that said work
shall commence on the 1st day of May,
1904, and continue until June 1, 1904.
Done in regular session this 8th day
of Jan., 1904.

In the matter of tho tax levy for 1903.
The following levies were made: State,
10 mills; school, 6 mills; road, 3; gen
eral fund, 14.
In the matter of the delinquent tax
roll for the year 1902, which has been
returned by the Sheriff of Lincoln
couuty, Oregon, delinquent. It Is here
by ordered that the County Clerk of Lin
coln county, Oregon, return the said
delinquent roll for the year 1903 to tbe
said Sheriff, of Lincoln county with a
warrant commanding him to levy on
the goods and chatties of such delin
quent taxpayers, and if none be found.
then npon the real property as set
forth on said delinquent tax roll, or so
much thereof as shall satisfy tbe
amount of taxes so charged, with costs
ana expenses.
It is further ordered by the Court
that said Sheriff pay over all moneys so
ooliected from such sale to the Treas
urer of Lincoln county. Oreeon. as bv
Uw required, and that he execute said
warraut uud of his doinra thereon
make a return to this Court, as by law
required.
