YAQUINA ITEMS. The steamer Robaris was in Sun day after freight. Mrs. Jenkins left Wednesday morning for Portland. Mrs. Claude Jones is visiting on the West side this week. Choir practice every Wednesday evening. All singers invited. The steamer Hunter came in Fri day for freight and passengers. . Salmonberries are ripe, and the supply more than equal to the de mand. Superintendent Sullivan came in Tuesday to look over affairs of the road and shops. Rev. C. M. Brown of the M. K. church held service Sunday even ing. There was a large attendance. Mrs. J. II. Penn is noted for her kindness to the sick and aged. She and the little basket are always welcome. The steamer T. M. Richardson is on duty again. She has been on the dry dock lor repairs, and comes off in fine condition. The subject for Christian Kn deavor Sunday evening is "Tem perance" not a wornout subject here. K very body invited. Mr. Southvvorth of Alsea came in Saturday evening with his in valid wife, who has beeu in Portland at the good Samaritan hospital for the last thtee months.
