The men were to have had their preliminary hearing before Justice Krogstad yesterday forenoon, but it was mu tually agreed to postpone the same until tomorrow (Saturday), owing to the absence of attorneys. I. F. Hiser has purchased of H. R. Sturdevant a 65-acre tract on Mill creek, about three miles fa Toledo, and will now settle dowy and become a genuine webfoot. Mr. Hiser has been orcnnvino- tlio 1 j o 1 - - place for several months past and is therefore thoroughly familiar with its advantages. Under his skillful touch it will soon become a valuable and pretty home. John Brown, Richard Anderson and Cccile Clay of Siletz, who par ticipated in the Epworth League convention at Albany, returned Monday evening, the other mem bers of the delegation following a day later.
