The grand jury of Lincoln count) .
returned an indictment against f
cph. Job, Hen. R. Job and M. M.
1 'avis for larceny of public money
last Tuesday evening. The indict
ment reads as follows;
"Z. Job, H. R. Job and M. M.
Davis are accused by the grand
jury of Lincoln county, by this in
dictment, of the crime of larceny of
public money, committed as follows:
Thai the said Z. Job, 1!. R. Job and
M. M. Davis on the loth day of
June, A. D. 1S93, in the County of
Lincoln anil the State of Oregon,
then and there being, feloniously
neglected and refused to pay over
the sum of eleven hundred and
ninety-nine and .ys dollars, then
and there the property of Lincoln
county, Oregon, on deposit in this,
that on said 10th day of June, 1H113,
and prior thereto, said Z. Job and
B. R. Job were doing a banking
business at Yaquina, Lincoln county
Oregon, and said M. M. Davis was
then and there eniraired in said
business in connection with said 'L
ob and H. R. Job, as cashier and
iivent in and for said bank. That
Henry Deiiliuirer was then and
there and had been continuously
since the 15th day of March, 1803,
the duly appointed, qualified and
acting treasurer of said Lincoln
countv. That as such Iteiisiifer
said tltMiry Dciilingci" then and
there had deposited in said bank,
with said Z. Job and 11. R. Job and,
by and through M. M. Davis and
with said M. M. Davis, as cashier
and agent of Z. Job and H. R. Job,
said sum of money as a special de
posit, for the use and benefit of
said Lincoln County, to be returned
to said Henry Denliuger as such
treasurer, for said county, on de
mand, tovvil: The sum of eleven
hundred and ninety-nine and ninety-
two hundredths dollars, and said
Z. Job, B. K. Job and M, M.. Davis
accepted and secured said money,
coin of the United Slates of America,
of the value then and there ol eleven
hundred und ninety-nine and ninety
two hundredths dollars, as such
special deposit, knowing then and
there that it was a (special deposit,
and that it belonged to, and was
then and there the property of said
Lincoln county, that said money
was in denomination to this Grand
Jury unknown, lihI which- this
Grand Jury is unable to state.
That said treasurer on the 10th day
of June, as such treasurer,
made demand upon said Z. Job, li.
R. Job and M. M. Davis to pay
over said money to him, as treasurer
(or said Lincoln canity, that said
Z. Job. 11. R. Job :.ip1 M. M. Davis
then and there refesed and neglect-

Court convened promptly on
time on Monday morning. Upon
roll call of jurymen some of them
were found to be absent. The
grand jury was drawn and was
composed of the iollowing persons:
