nett will commence suit In the Sep
tember term of court to compel tho
County Court to pay a widow's pen
sion to Mrs. Mnrgaret 10. Cooloy.
Mr. Cooloy, who had been sick, left
Mnrshfleld last year for Oklahoma
and Inter Mrs. Cooloy and the chil
dren Joined him there. When they
removed from the county the pen
sion was discontinued. Later Mr.
Cooloy returned to Mnrshfleld and
now suit Is to bo brought for the
pension money which It is said is
wanted to pay tho trniiBportntlon of
the family back to Coos Day. The
suit followed u dental by .lodge Hall
or the petition for pension, the ap
plication showing Cooloy n earn
ing $2.25 per day.

Council Inst night let contracts for
paving, sewer and sidewalk that
will aggregate about $14,000. Tho
contracts were secured by tho Lonp
stonc Construction Co., of Coqulllo.
The paving Is to bo 0 3-4 Inch
concrete nnd will extend threo blocks
from the bank to the city hall. Tho
hid of tho Longstonc Company was
$1.68 per Bqunro yard. The Dan
don Construction Company bid $1.75.
The sewer contract was lot at 80c
per aqunro jard for excavation, $75
for manholes and $125 for flush
tanks. Tills was also secured by the
Longstone Company. The work will
be commenced at once.
