Smith's proposal to dedi cate to the city n strip of land thirty feet wide for a continuation of South Front street to the prop erty of the Cons liny, UoBclntrg & Eastern Hallway Company, along the west side of the right-of-way recent ly acquired by the Wlllnniette Pa cific, and to provide for extensions of Anderson and Curtis avenues, with a street to the harbor lino Just north of Klrod avenue, w.ts submit ted to the City Council last evening In writing. Tho project met with the unanimous approval of tho mem bers, but It was decided by the Mayor, and approved by the Coun cllmcn, thnt he should see what could bo done to secure a right-of-way across tho Willamette Pacific tracks for the now street to the har bor line beforo signing the ordin ance.
