A rcninrknblc feat' in X-ray photo
granny was nconipllshed at Xortli
Bend this week wl.cn a picture wa3
takon of O. .1. Seoley, the Coqnlllo
logging boss, to definitely locate a
silver of steel that had pciletrr.tcd
his eye ball. The picture- secured
was one of the few that have been
secured In the United States showing
the veins, arteries, cerebral cavity
and leaving the outline of the feat
ures. Heretofore nearly all that has
been hoped to obtain In J-Jhiy photo
graphs was the bone structure and of
foreign substances In the body that
were of mineral composition and, Ini
pervlo'ns to the X-ray.
The picture taken of .Mr. Seoley
shows the outline of his features
plainly and the other details plainly,
much more plainly than has been
taken by X-rny experts who devote
all their time to X-ray work and ex
periments. 'fci'o picture was obtained partly by
accident and was one of two or three
taken of .Mr. Seeley. The others sim
ply show the steel sliver and the bono
structure but this one nor only shows
the bones and blood vessels but even
tlio eye-lashes are plainly discernible.
It wn secured on about a ten sec
ond exposure and y placing the
plate probably olx Inches from his
head. Usually the plate Is placed al
most ncalnst the object.
Ilr. (Jeo. .10. Dlx took the picture,
JIr. Seeley underwent an operation
and tho steel sliver was removed
and It Is bolloved that the Impaired
vIeIoii of the optic will bo cured in
time. The steel silver entered his
eye some time ago, flying from
Jogging cable with which ho
working.

The County Court Is taking up
the matter of good road building In

to their assessed valuations,
Tho other half of tho funds will
ho applied by tho County Court In
