son, of tho Iledoudo, wns making
bitter complaint today because many
of tho harbor lights were out last
night when he came. Ho crossed in
at 1 1 o'clock and three of tho rango
lights were not burning, making it
extremely difficult to navlgnto In tho
darkness. Then nt North Ilend, the
dredge Seattle had her plpo lino
strung across the channel. He will
enter protest to tho Port Commission
about tho harbor lights, it botng
stated that some of them are fre
quently out.

ber of mining rumors that have been

think that an effort was being made
to get a mining boom and rush go
