President D. C. Green announced
that ho had received a decidedly un
favorable report upon Keels' past
activities from Chicago, It was soon
followed by C J. Bruschko's state
ment thnt he would in no mannoe
act as sponsor (or Krols because ho
alleged thnt Krols had misrepresent
ed things to him.
The fiugeno Guard, which arrived
today, had a long story about Krols'
project, given out by himself, for
tho purpose of hevlng Eugene real
estate men sell tho lots there for
him.
Krols nppcars to havo absorbed
the nnmo Coos City for his project
although there hns been a station on
Isthmus Inlet, about seven miles
from Marshfleld that has been known
for years as Coos City. Krels' story
of his project will bo humorous,
If It did not havo tho possibility or
such serious consequences to Coos
Bay people, 't Is in part as fol
lows "I am convinced that in two years
under this plan wo will havo 10,000
peoplo In Coos City," said Mr.
Krols. "According to tho best avail
able statistics this will mean thnt
tho property now purchased will be
worth six times Its present price.
That Is, assuming that tho valuo
of tho laud will bo approximately
the same as the vnlue of land In
other thriving cities of 10,000 In

water streets and there will ho

and along tho shores. Tho ma
terial lifted up In tho dredging
process will be used to raise tho
land along on both sides. There
will be a broad parking covered
with flowers along the canalB nnd

nnd places of amusement will oc
cupy tho spaces of land. Tho only
thing on tho Pacific Coast which
has been attempted on this lino Is
Venico, near Los Angeles. A trol
ley lino connecting tho town with
Mnrshflold nnd North Bond will be
