No one was seriously Injured on tho Whlto Mountain TOxpress. Hoth trains wore heavily laden with returning excursionists from tho fashionable resorts In .Maine and White Mountains. They were running behind time through a heavy fog. Tho Har Harbor Lim ited had stopped In tlio block, but tlio last car of the long train was FATAL WRECK Just on the edge of tho block lim its. Tho signals had cleared and the Limited had gotten under slight headway when tho White Mountain Express came along. Tho engineer of tho latter was unable to stop his locomotlvo and crashed com pletely through two of the sleepers on the Har Harbor train and knock ed the next sleeper over the em bankment. The White Mountain Express wns scarcely scratched by tho collision, and proceeded on Its way. Tho overturned sleeper was al most entirely occupied by a camp ing party of boys returning from Monmouth, Maine. Tho boys' homos wore In New York, Philadelphia and various parts of the South. Seven bodies were taken from this car. The sleepers which were crushed by tho locomotive were a mans of splinters after the accident. The engine ran on top or the wreck ange and remnlned almost upright. Tho dead number seventeen, five unldentir.'ed. On the body or a young woman with a hand bag hearing the initials "M. M. H." or "M.
