Wo found thrco saws In onoratlon:
ono cutting bolts Into proper lengths,
run by (loorgo Phillips, ono sawing
bolts into pieces for barrel-heads, run
by Alf. Sprngue, and ono sawing
bolts Into staves, run by John Lou

straight cylinder, about four feet
long with tho tooth on ono end. The

cs into tho cylinder, leaving tho bolt
on the outside, lcavint: tho stavo con-
cavo on ono sldo and correspondingly

cuts the bolt into boards for heads,
is an ordinary circular saw. but It

This finest of all unforniontcit

Is a good fruit Julco and some nco

a demonstrated fact, however, that
prnctically everybody who has tasted

juice, Mr. Rolmor snys.
I wish that ovory family In the

loganberry crop Is now In Its prime
ana tno fruit can bo purchased for
a very reasonable price. At tho
present time it Is difficult for the
growers to soli tho comparatively
Binall output of loganborrles nt low
prices. I wish to state that as soon
as it Is generally known what ft
delicious drink can bo made from
this fruit there will bo n good do

tho valley.

Anyone who Is ablo to can fruit
will have no trouble In making lo

fruit Is placed In a fruit press and
tho julco Is extracted, and then
carefully strained. A small fruit
press may bo purchased from almost
any hnrdwaro store. Ono holding
four to six quarts is a convenient
size. Whero no fruit press is used
place tho fruit with a small quan
