Donald Mackintosh, the well
known Dandon booster, Is In Marsh
Held today on matters connected
with the White Cedar Carnival
which Is to be given in Dandon
August 25 to UO. He Is Here
especially In connection with the
scries of ball games for the event.
They had figured on games be
tween the Dandon lenguo tenm
and the other league teams of the
county, but find that the other
league tennis can't come nnd now
are trying to nrrange for an all-star
team, composed of tho best players
of ti e other teams, to go up against
Dandon. Denny Hull, of North
Dend, has practically promised to
select the tenm. Three games are
to be played and Dandon will pay
$100 per gntno nnd expenses for
each game. Hull Is trying to get
twelve men, some from North Dend,
some from Mnrshllcld and some
from Coqullle and Myrtle Point.
Mr. Mackintosh says they are ex
pecting n big crowd for the car
nival. He made n trip ns far south
as Crescent City advertising It and
they have also advertised all
throughout the southern part of tho
state.
There was talk of bringing In a
ball team from Hoseburg or Me-
