snipe, tattler, wlllet, curlew, , stilt,
avocet, klldeer, surf-bird, turnstono
or any other shore bird), and any
others belonging to those classes.
The division seems to fall practical
ly the same as that sot out In sec
tion 1 of the laws of 1903, found at
page 183, also found at pago 42 of
the Game Laws, as published In 1909
(rallidae, commonly known as rails,
coots, mud hens, surf birds, and
galllnulcs; Umlcolne, commonly
known as shore birds, plovers, surf
birds, snipe, woodcock, sandpipers,
tattlers, and curlews; galllnao, com
monly known as wild turkoys,
grouse, prairie- chickens, pheasants,
partridges and quail) I notice brant

fowl In said section 1 of 1903, and
as I understand It, are usually class
ed as water fowl by writers on zoolo
