Tho dredge Oregon will start the

Mill Slough and west of Broadway
Friday or Saturday and will rush tho
work to completion. Tho fill of the

morrow night or early Friday and
then Capt. Peters will move tho
dredgo up opposite tho Alliance
docks and start pumping Into Ander
son avonue, formerly D street. Most
of the owners of tho unimproved
property in the flat around tho
Chandler and down to Mill Slough
hnve signed to have their property
Idled so that the wholo section Is
likely to ho raised to grade, making
one of tho hest Improvement In tho
"sawdust" flat that has beon made
