JOSEPH BAUD DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS Succumbs nt General Hospital This Morning Had Been In This Sec tion For Many Years. Joseph Baud, a French timberman and logger, who has beon In and around Coos Bay for several years, died at tho General hospital this morning. Ho had been ailing for a week but not until yesterday was his condition thought serious enough to call a physician. Tho doctor im mediately had him sent to the hos pital but It was too lato to do any thing for him. But little Is known of Baud. He was quiet and told few of his past history. Ho was about seventy years old and Is understood to havo participated In somo of tho French wars.
