Clinton Crouch, who is running tho
general delivery of W. B. Neathery
during that gentleman's absence at
Los Angeles, had quite an excftlng
experience on Thursday afternoon
while delivering some furniture at
the residence of J. R. Miller along
side of the T Bridge. It was during
the heavy wind and by breaking of
a plank In the bridge the wagon got
the advantage of the team and all
went off the bridge together. While
the drop was 1C or 18 feet, no great
damage was done. The harness
caught In such manner as to break
the fall, and had to be cut to re
lease the animals. The top to the
wagon was considerably broken

Yakima Mnn Hears From Long Lost
Friend.
NORTH YAKIMA, Wash., Feb. 13.
Joseph Brown, fruit Inspector of
Yakima county, nnnounces that he
has received a Christmas present. It
came from California In the shape
of a check for several hundred dol
lars. Mr. Brown, 25 years ago, lent a
friend In Ogden, Utah, a large sum
of money. Both were young men,
and did not kndw where they were
going to live. Brown was to write1
to a brother of his friend and get
the latter's address. When ho did
so the brother had died. He has
been trying to find the man he lent
the money to ever since. '
Finally the long lost friend sent
the check, which is a payment on
the loan, and said he had been
searching for Brown for a quarter
of a century. He says ho will pay
all the money back, with Interest.
