meander liens of Mills Slough pre

as a harbor for the gasoline laun
ches or "Mosquito Fleet" an1 event

the ranchers and gardeners around
Coos Hay.
Mr. Alhrecht's plan Is to have It
dredged so that It will have six feat
of water as far as the old electric
plant at low tide, the width to he
determined by the meander lines.

can bo dredged and wharfed up and
leave about twenty feet on either

Is deemed advisable, a warehouse or
market house can be put In at a
convenient point and made a market
place.

that Tom Godfrey, tho theatrical
man so well and favorably known In
Coos county, has decided to open a
permanent play house in that town.
Tom and his talented family are de
servedly popular In Humboldt. Not
long ago he rendered yeoman ser
vice with his automobile in hauling
a couple of mill owners speedily to
their burning mill.

that Carranzas Is In good shape hav
ing trained two weeks at Eureka,
and the week's training here will
put him In the pink of condition.
Billy Itocs has not lost any time
and is getting himself In the best
shape possible. He realizes that
Carranzas Is a hard opponent but
he feels confident of the result.

action but that many plans had been
