the last few days has driven many
ducks into the Inlets and sandhills
and yesterday big killings were made

Gardiner Girl Weds. Married, at
Albany on Nov. 16, Mr. John A. Em
mitt, the well-known barber of
Drain, and Miss Cora Colwell of Gar
diner, Justice L L. Swan officiating.
The happy couple arrived in Drain
Wednesday, and that evening were
treated to a few choice selections by
the Drain Tin Band. The groom
"came through" with a nice treat of
cigars and candy for the serenaders.

Woman Succumbs to Operation

Mrs. Adolph Weise, a well-known
North Bend joung woman, died at
Mercy hospital today following an
operation. She was about twenty
years old and was married about one
year ago to Mr. Weise who is an en
gineer nt the Sash and Door factory.
Her mother, Mrs. Weldman, lives in
North Bend. The funeral will prob
ably be hold Wednesday or Thurs
day from the Temple & Wilson Un
dertaking parlors in Marshfleld.

JUNCTION CITY, Kan., Nov. 21.
Jesse Wingfleld, a farmer living
near this city, swallowed his false
teeth nnd died. The same day that
he swallowed his teo'h he was taken
to Topeka, where operations wero
performed In an effort to locate the
plate, but both, operations wero un
successful. Wingfleld was 55 years
old. He leaves a widow and three
children.

committee of the Marshfleld Chamber
of Commerce to confer with tho.
North Bend Commercial club relative
to the engaging of a committee to ar
range for the organization of the
Port of Coos Bay. The Marshfleld
committee is desirous of having Fran
cis H. Clarke as one of tho members
of the committee owing to his fami
liarity with the project. Tho North
Bend club will consider tho matter

turn tho matter over to the commit
tee to work out, Including the sub
mission of any law tha. may bo re
quired to tho Oregon legislature at

Walter Lyon was engaged to gath
