tion of tho four new members at tho
Milliconia Club. John D. Goss will
be master of ceremonies.
Tonight, tho Modern Woodmen of
America will entertain at a supper
'and dance at tho Finnish hall. Stato
Deputy J. W. Simmons of Portland,
and National Lecturer Hyland of
Peoria, 111., will deliver addresses. A
special musical program has been
prepared.

Miss Alice Butler will entertain the
members of the Biographic Club at

Loaves Hospital. Wm. Foster,
tho South Inlet man, who was in
jured in a logging nccident a few
weeks ago, left Mercy hospital yes
terday. Ho has not entlroly recover
ed from his injuries but Dr. Geo. E.
DIx who attended him does not anti
cipate any lasting ill-effects from
them.
Tho In Hospital. C. II. Weedmnn,
who underwent an operation at
Mercy hospital Monday for blood
poisoning, is getting along nicely.
Michael Kerrigan, who underwent
an operation Tuesday is also improv
ing. Dr. J. W. Ingram attended both
cases.

Delay Ferry. Tho now ferry for
tho Marshfleld-Eastsido run will not
bo ready for operations for another
week. Inspectors Ames and Weldin,
who went over tho craft yesterday,
will mako their report to tho Port
land ofllco where, if tho report is
satisfactory, a license will bo Issued
to tho ferry. It is expected by tho
time the lfccnso reaches hero that tho
Marshfield slip will bo in readiness.
Gets Fine Ruck. Dr. 'A. L. House
worth who returned yesterday from
Ton Mllo, where ho had been enjoy
ing a hunt with tho party out with
tho Harrlman bear hounds landed a
fine threo-polnt buck. Dr. House
worth tired of tramping after var
mints and loft tho party to do a lit
tle fishing. While going nlong tho
lako shore ,he encountored tho buck
and ono bullet ended tho career of
tho animal whose carcas weighed 165
pounds.
