A. L. Frey of North Bend, has pur

Miss Edith Raab, who on account
of illness, dropped her school work
for a short time, left Tuesday for her
home at Falrmount Ranch. Her
many friends in high school and out
side hope she will soon be able to
resume her studies.
Some thoughtful one In the school
suggested that some sort of society
be organized to which would belong
the teachers, school board, parents of
school children, or any one Interested
In helping the school. This sugges
tion Is now being acted upon and the
first meeting Is to be held soon.
In the basement of the school one
of the prettiest and most modern
little kindergarten rooms has been
fittcdup for the use of the First B
In charge of Miss Winifred Rood.
One of the special features of this
room Is the wide shelf extending
around two sides of the room on
which the little tots do their kinder
garten drawing, sewing, etc.
The school grounds are to be
greatly improved soon by the teach
ers with the help of their pupils.
Each teacher is to be given a bed in
which ho or she will cultivate a
variety of roses which no other teach
er has. This will make twelve beds
of roses and the pupils will be able
to have flowers for any exercises
given by the school from their own
gardens. Several plans were pre
sented at a recent teachers' meeting
for beautifying the school grounds,
but this ono was thought to be the
most feasible.
